The Society's rooms are located in the Healesville Community Link (at the rear of the Memorial Hall), 110 River Street, Healesville.  This is the same building as the library; please ask the library staff for directions once entering the building. 

We are open to the public from 1.30pm to 4.00pm every Monday and Friday. We are also open from 9.30am to 11.30am on Saturdays.  

We are closed on public holidays and all Code Red days.

Meetings and outings are held on a regular basis; please see the Upcoming Events page for details.  Meetings are held in the Healesville Community Link Meeting Room.  All meetings and outings are however cancelled on Code Red days.

All volunteers interested in the fantastic history of our town and district are always welcome, as are contributions of historic material.  If you are considering volunteering please check out our Volunteering page.

The Society is not for profit.  All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. 

2018 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The Society's AGM will be held in the Community Link Room of the Library on Sunday 23 September 2018 at 2:00pm. 

A formal call for nominations for the new committee will be made however if you are interested in helping out on the 2018/19 committee - even if only in a modest way, we would love to hear from you as early as possible.  Positions to be filled will include:

  1. President
  2. Treasurer
  3. Secretary
  4. General Committee

We are all volunteers and any extra help is extremely valuable to the preservation of Healesville's history for the enjoyment and knowledge of future generations.  No special skills are required.  Whether you are 15 or 105 years old, all you need is an interest in the amazing history of Healesville and District, a smile and a willingness to help out and make a difference.  We would love you to join us. 

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of the Healesville and District Historical Society Inc is to encourage and facilitate the study of the history of Healesville and district. To this end, the Society shall acquire, research, conserve, interpret and exhibit material which illustrates this history.
